Does true love exist?

I did not grow up with a bedtime story. I believe that inner beauty is important, but still outer beauty is the first thing men notice, isn't it?

But then I found out this amazing stories about the shortest woman who live happier than fairytale stories which the main characters have big-round-eyes-and-a-proportional-body-with-smooth-shiny-hair.

In Kentucky, United States, there are 36-years-old woman who is playing around with two girls and 27-years-old man -her husband- who is holding a baby. It's a normal activities for a mom, right. But, you have to know that married and happy woman is just 2 feet 4 inches!

She was warned against becoming pregnant, because a baby could grow too big and crush her lungs and heart. But determined Stacey, from Kentucky has successfully defied doctors three times, hahaha! And now she and her husband, Wil, a trainee vicar, who is 5 feet 9 inches, are thinking about having more babies.

Stacey has a rare genetic condition called osteogenisis imperfecta, which stunts her growth and causes underdeveloped lungs and brittle bones.

 She said: “Three children is a handful at the moment, but I can see us having more babies in the future.
“We listen to doctors and respect them, but they don’t always get it right, so we end up doing what we feel is best.” I'm agree with you, Stacey! May God bless you and your family. Show them that they're just doctors and stop acting like they know everything.

I'm happy to know that a kind-hearted man is still exist in this world. I hope there are another 'Wil' in this world and people will learn how to accept their lovers for good and bad, even for the best and worst. Of course I have to learn it too, since my bad is judging people from their cover. *sigh*

A Greeny Saturday

Siti, Fika, Kak Ira, Winda, and me just did a photoshoot at Taman Setia Budi Indah with Carrie, Siti's cousin, who own a DSLR digital-single-lens-reflex camera. Too bad Mimi can't join us :(

I'm not so talented in photography. But at least, I tried to return her favor.

The "Perahu Kertas" ebook

If I'm posting on blog during the apothecary class, then my friends: Siti, Fika, and Mimil are reading ebook on their netbook. It is Perahu Kertas, which is written by Dewi Lestari, a famous Indonesian writer. I don't like reading at all, but the story is quite interesting. I'll try to write a short review of it.

The story begins with Keenan, a young man who recently graduated from high school, who for six years living in Amsterdam with his grandmother. Keenan has a talent in painting very strong, and he has no ideals other than a painter, but his covenant with his father forced him to leave Amsterdam and returned to Indonesia for college. Keenan received college in Bandung, in the Faculty of Economics.

On the other hand, there is Kugy, a unique girl tend to be eccentric, who will also be enrolled at the same university with Keenan. Since childhood, Kugy likes fairytales a lot. Not just a collection of readings and have a garden, she also enjoys writing stories. Her goal just one: want to be a storyteller. However Kugy knows that being a fairytale writer is a profession which not convincing for the future. Do not want to escape from the world of writing, Kugy then continued her study at the Faculty of Letters.

Kugy and Keenan met by the couple Noni - Eko. Eko is Keenan's cousin, while Kugy is Noni's childhood friend. Except Noni, they all moved from Jakarta, then enrolled at the same university in Bandung. Finally four of them become bestfriends.

Gradually, Kugy and Keenan, who had been admiring each other, began to undergo transformation. Secretly, without ever having the opportunity to express, they fell in love. But then all the conditions are not possible. Kugy already had a boyfriend, flashy guy named Joshua, aka Ojos (calls so arbitrarily, created by Kugy herself). While Keenan was matched by Noni and Eko with a young curator named Wanda.

Their friendship began to stretch. Kugy then drowned herself as a volunteer teacher at an emergency school named Sakola Alit. It was there that she met with Pilik, the most mischievous students. Pilik and his friends managed to conquer it by writing stories about their own adventure story, which she entitled: General Pilik and Alit Forces. Kugy writes stories about her students almost every day in a notebook, which later she gave it to Keenan.


The relationship between Keenan and Wanda began to change. Keenan made ​​aware surprisingly that his dream is run aground over a night. With broken hearts, Keenan left his life in Bandung, and also his family in Jakarta. Then he went to Ubud, stay at Pak Wayan's house, her mother's friend.

Times with Pak Wayan's family, who are all famous artists in Bali, started healing Keenan's pain slowly. The most influential figure in his healing is Luhde Laksmi, Pak Wayan's niece. Keenan began to paint again. Brings out the Kugy's General Pilik and Alit Army stories, which is given to him, Keenan created a series of paintings that became famous and hounded by collectors.

Kugy, which also greatly miss her friends and began to feel lonely in Bandung, rearranging her life. He graduated from college as soon as possible and immediately worked at an advertising agency in Jakarta as a copywriter. There, she met Remigius, her boss and her brother's friend. Kugy's career is raising in unexpected ways. Her magical and completely spontaneously thinking makes her become one to reckon with at the office.

But Remi sees something else. He likes Kugy not only because of her ideas, but also her spirit and unique qualities. And finally he had to admit that he started to fall in love with Kugy. As like a fairytale, Remi's sincerity is also healing Kugy's brokenheart.

Unfortunately, Keenan can't stay longer in Bali. Because of his father's deteriorating health condition, Keenan was forced to return to Jakarta, to run his family's company because they have no other choice.

The meeting between Kugy and Keenan are not inevitable. Even the four friends are met again. Everything with conditions are different. And again, their hearts were tested. The story of love and friendship during these five years ended with a surprise for all. Finally, every heart can only re-surrender in love, flowing stream somewhere. Like paper boats which are swept away in the different places, but they always boil down to in the same place. Although sometimes bitter, hurt, and doubt, but the real heart always knows.

So, no wonder my friends are addicted to read this ebook during the class. Me? Nah. Writing this review is enough for me, I won't read it until finish. Hahahahah. It's better to read a manga :p

Have to watch this movie!

From James Wan and Leigh Whannell, the director and co-creators of Saw and Paranormal Activities, Insidious is a 2011 American supernatural American movie, starring by Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne. The film was released in theaters on April 1, 2011 and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on July 12, 2011.

The film stars Watcmen's Patrick Wilson and X-Men : First Class' Rose Byrne as the parents of the young boy haunted by the spirits. If you watch closely, you’ll also notice that the film features Barbara Hershey, who recently turned in a spectacularly creepy performance as Natalie Portman’s deranged mother in Black Swan; also, the medium lady who comes to suss out the evil spirits is Lin Shaye, who most people are likely to remember from her scene-stealing performance as Cameron Diaz’s über-tan roommate Magda in There’s Something About Mary. Not a bad cast right? :)

The original Saw was truly a clever and disturbing twist on the serial killer sub-genre, so at the moment I’m cautiously optimistic that Insidious will turn out to be an equally clever and disturbing twist on the haunted house sub-genre. However, the filmmakers have already made one small misstep, in my opinion: revealing that the boy, not the house, is the source of the evil spirits. That’s a twist I would’ve saved for the theater, but hopefully they gave that info away in the trailer because there’s a bigger twist in store for us when we actually see the movie.

Siti : "Jadi inget resep fika yg kemaren. Uda dikasi Dulcolax, dikasi lagi bisakodil."

Fika : "Parah banget itu memang."

Gw : *sok nimbrung* "Ntah jadi gimana itu pantatnya."

Siti dan Fika : (tertawa terbahak-bahak)

Gw? ikutan ketawa dong padahal ga ngerti-ngerti amet.

Mimil yang lagi baca komik pun jadi tertarik, "Eh apaan sih? apaan sih? Cerita donggg.."

Siti : "Jadi.. huahahahah... kan... hahaha.. si cici.. muwaahahah... blupblupblup#&$^#%@&#%! huahahha.."

Mimil : "Apaan sihhh? Ga ngerti lu ngomong apaan..."

Fika : "Jadi kan min..." (cerita dari awal dengan penuh ketulusan sambil nulis tugas) "Gitu min...Woi min.."

Karena ga ada respon dari mimil, Fika mendongak dan ternyata...

Fika : "Mimiiiiinnnnn.....!!!!! Uda cape-cape dijelasin punnnn!"

Mimil : (kaget, baru tersadar dari komik) "Ha?"

Remember that I'm getting in trouble because of Twitter?
Hahaha! Well, there are 12 people who got fired from their job becuase of their tweets.

1. Connor Rilley
He gets a job offer from Cisco. On Twitter he writes, "Cisco offered me a job! Now I have to spend a large salary to San Jose and hated the job." A few moments after posting that tweet, he got a reply from employees of Cisco, Tim Levad,"Who is the manager who offered you? I'm sure they'll be glad to know that you really hate the job."

2. Nir Rosen
He is a law professor at New York University. Until one day he tweeted at Twitter about cases of sexual violence Lara Logan, a journalist who was covering the Egyptian crisis. His tweet is considered attacking, playing, and did not deserve. He apologized and quit his job the next day.

3. Gilbert Gottfried
Comedian Gottfried Gillbert fired as the voice of the Japanese insurance company, Aflac. He was fired for making fun of last tsunami in Japan. In his twitter, he said, "Japan is advanced. They are not go to the beach, but the beach come after them." After he wrote it, Gottfried was immediately fired.

4. Nicole Crowther
This 21-years-old actress was fired from Glee, the most famous musical drama nowadays. Through Twitter account, she divulge some plot in Glee's next episode. Glee's producer, Brad Falchuk, immediately responded, "I hope you have a qualification other than work in the world of acting."

5. Scott Bartosiewicz
He is a consultant and social media experts in a company's new media strategy. Whether unconsciously or deliberately, he wrote, "Ironically, Detroit is a city car, but no one knows how to drive a car." Well, the problem is that he wrote it in Chrysler's twitter account, the company that hire the services of a strategy where Scott worked. Scott immediately fired and Chrysler also break the contract with New Media Strategies , the company where Scott worked.

6. Damian Goddard
This sports broadcast announcer was fired for writing his own opinions regarding homo-sex marriage. The problem is that he writes about hockey player, Todd Reynolds. Todd's agency protest to the work place and responded by firing Damian.

7. Gabriella Pasqualotto
She is a cheerleader for one of Indian cricket team in the league. She leaked the behavior of the cricket players to cheerleaders and it doesn't reassure. Finally, she was fired because of her tweet.

8. Rashard Mendenhall
This American football player from the Steelers club is writing about the death of Osama Bin Laden. "How can people celebrate death? Very surprising that people could hate it when we never heard him speak. We only heard from one side..", he wrote. His club is processing this case and the possibility he was fired. 

9. Octavia Nasr
This CNN's Senior Editor is fired for tweeting about her respect for Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah. Meanwhile, the AP news agency said that Fadlallah is related to anti-American and several bombings that killed 260 Americans. She apologized, but there's no forgiveness for her.

10. Jon Barett-Ingels
Jane Adams, an actress in Hung film forgets to pay bills in a restaurant. The waiter, Jon-Barrett Ingels tweets about it on Twitter. The next day Jane's agents come and finish the bill. But, again Ingels wrote on Twitter that Jane did not give him a tip. A month later Adams came herself and gave Ingels a tip, but after that she complained to management and Ingels was fired.



11. Catherine Deveny
She is an australian comedian who lost her job as a newspaper daily columnist for The Age after writing jokes inappropriately on her Twitter account. She wrote a joke by giving advice to Steve Irwin's children to have a sex. Steve Irwin is a crocodile hunter who was famous on screen. He died in 2006 after being bitten by stingray.

12. Mike Bacsik
Former American baseball league pitcher, Mike Bacsik, lost his job as a radio producer. He was tweeting when he was drunk and write racist comments.


Well, I'm not that bad, right.
